Our Dog
15 Jun 2026 - William Rossignol
Molly was our family dog.
She loved everyone
Well… that’s after they went through her mandatory initiation session called “barking at them for a couple minutes”
After she knew you, she’d be so happy to see you walk into that door, sometimes jumping in the rocking chair with excitement, waiting on you to sit down and give her belly rubs
And during the Winter she’d love to go rub her head in the snow. I’m still not sure what she was trying to do, but it looked like she was trying to roll herself into a snowman

We all loved her so much, however annoying she could get whenever she cried for a piece of food as we ate around the kitchen table
The truth is she only got this annoying because of one person, and that person she loved more than anyone else in the world
That person was dad
He would be the one that gave her all of the table food
He would be the one with which she sat down to watch television
He was the person you would find her sat down next to when we were all hanging out together

As Molly’s health has degraded over the past year, we now have to wish her goodbye
And as she leaves us, all I hope is that she goes on to join dad for belly rubs in the afterlife
